These terms govern your use of PLOT, a city-first training marketplace operating across Europe. By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Plain-language summary first; the legal version is the full text.
SECTION 1
The deal in one paragraph
PLOT connects you (a client) with independent professional trainers, in venues you pick (parks, beaches, your place, the trainer's place, virtual). You pay PLOT for the session. We hold the money, then forward 88% to the trainer once the session is complete (we keep a 12% platform fee). You always book a real human; the trainer always confirms within 24 hours or you get a full refund automatically. Cancel free up to the window listed on the trainer's profile.
SECTION 2
Who can use PLOT
- You must be at least 18.
- You confirm you have no medical condition that would make independent physical training unsafe, or that you have cleared training with a doctor if you do.
- One account per person. No sharing, no impersonation, no fake names.
- Use the service only for its intended purpose.
SECTION 3
What we are (and aren't)
PLOT is the intermediary. We are not your trainer, not your gym, and not your medical provider. The trainer is an independent professional responsible for the session content, technique cues, equipment they bring, and their own insurance.
What PLOT is responsible for: the platform working, payments processing correctly, real trainers being vetted before they appear in search, basic dispute mediation.
What the trainer is responsible for: session quality, professional conduct, holding their own certifications and liability insurance, showing up on time, keeping client information confidential, anything they physically do during the session.
SECTION 4
Trainer eligibility (read this if you're a trainer)
- You must be at least 18 and legally permitted to work as a self-employed trainer in your country.
- You must hold valid professional liability insurance covering personal-training activity. PLOT may request proof at any time.
- You must hold a recognised certification in your area of practice (or equivalent verifiable experience accepted by PLOT during admin review).
- You must declare any past criminal conviction relevant to personal-training (e.g. assault, sexual offences) at signup; non-disclosure is grounds for immediate removal.
- You agree to PLOT's 12% platform fee (subject to change with 30 days' notice). Stripe Connect handles payouts; you receive funds 24 hours after a session is marked complete.
- You agree to a 24-hour acceptance SLA on booking requests. After 24h the request auto-cancels and the client is refunded.
SECTION 5
Bookings, payments, refunds
- Prices are set by the trainer in EUR (or local currency). PLOT collects payment up-front and holds it until the session is complete.
- Trainer cancels → 100% refund automatically.
- You cancel inside the trainer's free-cancellation window (varies by trainer; default 24h) → 100% refund.
- You cancel late→ refund follows the trainer's policy shown at booking (commonly 50% or 0%).
- Weather (outdoor session)→ if PLOT's forecast cron flags rain ≥80% probability 12h before, the session is automatically rescheduled or moved virtual per the rain plan you picked. No refund needed.
- You don't show up → no refund. The trainer keeps full payment.
- Trainer doesn't show → 100% refund + €15 PLOT credit.
- Disputes > €100 are mediated by PLOT support within 5 working days. Final resolution may include partial refund from the platform fee.
SECTION 6
EU consumer right of withdrawal
Under Art. 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply once a session has actually taken place (services fully performed with your consent). For any unbooked credit balance you may withdraw within 14 days for a full refund — write to support@plot.app.
SECTION 7
Conduct
Don't harass, defraud, or endanger anyone. No sexual services. No illegal substances. No discrimination on protected characteristics. Trainers and clients can each block + report the other; we investigate within 48 hours.
SECTION 8
Reviews
Honest, first-hand only. Don't pay for reviews and don't leave them on yourself. We may remove reviews that violate this rule, contain personal data, or are clearly defamatory.
SECTION 9
Intellectual property
The PLOT brand, marks, design, code, and content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by us. You keep ownership of content you upload (photos, bio text); by uploading, you grant PLOT a worldwide, royalty-free license to display it on the platform for as long as your account exists.
SECTION 10
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by EU consumer law, PLOT's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is capped at the amount you have paid PLOT in the past 12 months for the booking giving rise to the claim.
We exclude liability for: trainer professional malpractice (covered by their own insurance), injuries during a session (you train at your own risk; the trainer's insurance is the right address), force majeure, and indirect / consequential loss (lost gains, missed deadlines).
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.
SECTION 11
Termination
We can suspend or close an account that violates these terms or applicable law. You can close yours at any time from Settings → Delete account. Pending bookings get refunded; your data is handled per the Privacy Policy.
SECTION 12
Governing law + jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law (without prejudice to consumer-protection rules of your country of residence which apply if more protective). Disputes that cannot be resolved via support may be brought before the competent court of your place of residence (if you are an EU consumer) or otherwise the courts of Paris, France.

SECTION 13
Changes
We'll email registered users 14 days before any material change. Continuing to use the service after the change date means you accept the new terms.
